Position overview

Teaching Strategies is looking for highly talented, detail-oriented test engineers to join it's technology development team. We're looking for engineers that want to make a real impact in early childhood education. Our platform is a quickly evolving system so you need to be someone ready to take on challenging refactoring work, new technologies and automation, automation, automation. We depend on solid automated testing to ensure system quality.

Specific roles and responsibilities:

• Defines testing strategies for the development teams following industry best practices
• Designs and develops automated tests for Teaching Strategies' platforms and applications
• Constantly seeks to improve application performance through platform innovation
• Analyzes, troubleshoots, and mitigates application issues and security vulnerabilities
• Collaborates with operations engineers, software engineers and DBAs

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• Minimum of three (3) years of hands-on experience in a production SaaS environment
• Minimum of three (3) years of hands-on experience with automated testing tools
• Patience, rigor, and the ability to communicate clearly
• Highly collaborative work style
• Experience with RSpec, Selenium, WebDriver, Cucumber
• Keen interest in new technologies and languages and how to innovate with them
• Experience with SQL is a plus
• Commitment to following security best practices
