Position Overview

We are looking for a Marketing Copywriter to join the team with a background in customer acquisition and digital product work. The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver who is passionate about crafting writing that makes customers feel understood-and drives action. Using your authentic storytelling skills, you will drive company brand voice for all demand generation campaigns including paid search, paid social, email, social, web pages, conference collateral, tradeshow banners and more. You will have a knack for writing engaging copy that speaks to different audiences marketing a variety of products while optimizing it for digital readers and search engines. This role works collaboratively with product marketing, creative and project management and is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to shaping the demand generation function at Teaching Strategies.

Specific Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Differentiate the Teaching Strategies brand through what we say and how we say it
  • Write with a consistent tone and voice.
  • Strategize with team in defining demand generation campaign tactics and conference / event messaging and goals.
  • Create compelling ads and emails that drive conversion, sign up, and retention; create compelling, channel-specific ideas and messages
  • Build out content that aligns with the objectives of the campaign
  • Incorporate organic keywords and strategies in developing content
  • Immerse yourself in early childhood education and Teaching Strategies products and content to ensure you are communicating with credibility and brand alignment
  • Collaborate with creative team to ensure content, design and imagery are cohesive
  • Understand content performance metrics and how to leverage data to optimize content

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communications, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in multi-channel content creation
  • Knowledge of digital marketing best practices and optimization. Stays up to date on SEO trends and recommends improvements.
  • Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
  • A collaborative spirit and a drive to innovate.
  • Ability to tailor your writing to a specific brand voice
  • Ability to work quickly to meet deadlines
  • Self-starter and a strong team player who is flexible with a positive "can-do" attitude.
  • Demonstrated ability to function independently, multi-task, and realign priorities as needed.
  • Portfolio of samples showcasing creative work across a variety of channels
  • Experience in education industry, particularly early childhood, is a plus
