Social Media Manager (Full Time Contract, Intermediate Level)

We're looking for a Social Media Manager that will nurture and scale the ParentPal brand through our social media channels. You will partner closely with the Marketing and Product teams to develop a strategy to increase followers and drive engagement, implement social-led programs and partnerships, and create, source and post content crafted to increase awareness and conversion for ParentPal.

How it will work:

  • Pay range: $40+ hourly (commensurate with experience)
  • This is a fully remote, full time contract position (hours will be PST time zone) with the potential to transition to a permanent role
  • Start date ASAP
  • This position will be fully integrated into our small, but mighty team!

What you'll be doing:

  • Overseeing and developing ParentPal's social media presence and strategy across multiple channels. Attracting and engaging followers to drive awareness and conversion for the app.
  • Building out an ongoing social media planning calendar to deliver on the approved strategy.
  • Implementing social media strategy and coordinating daily content calendar projects including copywriting, asset coordination, and postings to ParentPal social media channels.
  • Owning community management on Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest.
  • Exploring new social media channel opportunities for the brand like YouTube, TikTok, and Clubhouse.
  • Finding opportunities to proactively engage and build relationships with the broader parenting industry.
  • Proactively collaborating with the team on other organic marketing channels like Content Marketing, SEO, and PR as well as paid influencers and partnerships.
  • Identifying new innovative ways to build audiences and drive sales via social media.
  • Tracking analytics specifically for our social media channels to determine growth, traction and return on investment.
  • Submitting and refining creative briefs and asset requests to ensure channel-specific content is delivered.
  • Brainstorming and working directly with the Marketing and Product teams to execute campaigns and content.
  • Keeping your eyes and ears on the pulse of the ParentPal community and the broader parenting community. Reporting to the team on trends, suggestions and concerns.
  • Keeping up with social media trends, and insights. Communicating audience knowledge to the wider team.
  • Taking on additional marketing tasks and responsibilities both within and outside of the social media sphere, as needed.

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree required. A degree in Business, Communications/Marketing, Childhood Development, or related field is preferred
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in social media and marketing
  • Strong understanding of social media channels, content development, and social analysis
  • Strong copywriting and editing skills
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build trust and collaborate with team members
  • Curious and excited to learn and take on new responsibilities
  • Forward-thinking, well-organized and has an obsession for detail
  • Experience with tools like Canva, PhotoShop, InDesign, and Adobe a plus
  • Passionate about using technology to help families thrive!
