Position overview:

As a Creative Director within the creative department, you will be responsible for creating beautifully crafted design solutions that answer specific strategic marketing and project objectives. You will lead or create concepts and layouts of branded and creative designs, which may include identity, product design, packaging, advertising, environments, sales communications, digital experiences, and more. Print designs will be the core of the role, but not its sole focus.

Specific roles and responsibilities:

  • Provides creative direction on small- and large-scale projects from creative conception to completion.
  • Leads in directing and executing the design of marketing assets as prescribed by creative/marketing briefs.
  • Brainstorms and strategizes with creative team to help develop creative direction with a focus on the look and feel of the brand.
  • Converts ideas into visual designs (e.g., sketches, layout drafts) to illustrate concepts for creative reviews.
  • Recommends, researches and develops imagery (e.g., photography, illustration) to support creative strategy and execution.
  • Collaborates with content creators to artfully build creative solutions to address specific project objectives.
  • Directs and is accountable for the final development and production of creative assets and ensures accuracy, attention to details and overall meets or exceeds the design objectives.
  • Ensures brand guidelines and directives are embraced and adhered to in all executions.
  • Supports the Director of Brand and creative team in developing creative strategies and concepts.
  • Manages and mentors other designers and manages outside vendors as needed.
  • Manages multiple assignments on tight timelines and manages time accordingly.
  • Collaborates with other Designers, Account Managers, Production Managers, Marketers and Developers to achieve project goals.
  • Plays an active role in contributing conceptual ideas in brainstorms or offline creative development.
  • Works to improve the team's overall performance and embraces a collaborative approach.
  • Provides visible support for leadership, mentors creative staff, and helps build a unified team mindset.
  • Contributes to building process efficiencies that benefit the department.


  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in print and digital design
  • Possesses exceptionally strong design (conceptual, typographic, and layout) skills
  • Proficient in Adobe's core suite of CC apps and the Mac OS
  • Possesses experience in a leadership role and mentoring others
  • Exhibits creative excellence, attention to details, and collaborative mindset
  • Asks questions, listens carefully, and thinks through projects end-to-end
  • Is passionate about creativity and craft
  • Communicates well (both written and verbal) and strives to articulate meaningful rationale for creative decisions
  • Possesses strong work ethic and motivation
  • Is highly organized and attentive to detail
  • Always stays abreast of current trends and innovations, constantly learning and hungry to bring new ideas and techniques to the team
  • Consults effectively with non-designers on projects
  • Conveys clear messaging and storytelling through design
  • Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Fine Arts, or higher with a focus on Graphic/Digital Design. Without a degree, 7+ years of recent hands-on print and digital design experience
  • Possesses a strong portfolio of work

All candidates will be required to submit a portfolio of work samples and/or links to their work.

Preferred Qualifications (not mandatory):

  • Agency Experience
  • Experience in animation or video
  • Experience in illustration
  • Experience in photography
