Position Overview:

The professional development content creator is responsible for the generation of fresh content for face-to-face, virtual, online, and hybrid professional learning opportunities related to implementing the Teaching Strategies suite of early childhood solutions. As a member of the Education team, the professional development content creator conducts related research and authors professional development deliverables in a timely manner, including, but not limited to, course design documents; trainer's notes, handouts, and PPT presentations (for face-to-face PD); and storyboards, scripts, and builder's instructions (for online PD). The professional development content creator both works independently to author content and collaborates frequently with other members of the Education and PD teams to ensure quality, clarity, and consistency of Teaching Strategies messaging. The incumbent serving in this role will also be responsible for reviewing and updating existing PD content and attendant materials as needed.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Authors content for face-to-face, virtual, online, and hybrid professional development sessions and courses
  • Collaborates with other members of the Education and PD teams to develop content deliverables related to Teaching Strategies products and services
  • Collaborates with the PD Content Manager to ensure quality training practices that are aligned with PD goals and principles of effective adult learning and adhere to the requirements of our status as an IACET-accredited provider of professional learning
  • Occasionally present information about Teaching Strategies PD opportunities to other teams across the organization
  • Occasionally present at customer-facing events, such as on webinars and at conferences, as assigned
  • Create embedded PD for Teaching Strategies digital products, as assigned
  • Serve as SME for Marketing initiatives, such as e-books, blog posts, and social media posts and replies, as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in ECE, writing, or adult learning, master's preferred
  • 3 years of experience in early childhood teaching, administration, or related content development/delivery
  • Superior writing, editing, researching, speaking, and analytical skills
  • Strong understanding of the principles of adult learning
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong knowledge of DAP and current trends in ECE
  • Knowledge of the products and services of Teaching Strategies, LLC
  • Proficiency in MS Office products
  • Ability to learn and implement new software and hardware
