Position overview

The ReadyRosie Senior Software Engineer is responsible for crafting the end-user experience of our web and mobile software products, translating the UI/UX design wireframes of our web and mobile applications to actual code that will produce the visual elements of the application and interact with backend systems. Under the direction and collaboration of the Engineering Team Lead, you will evolve the web application to ensure maximum performance, stability, and long-term maintainability while working to add to our core functionality.  Diagnose and fix issues in the current system and mentor more junior team members.

You will touch all aspects of the app and infrastructure, from CSS and React Native mobile apps to infrastructure and build-pipelines. We are a highly-collaborative, mission-driven, data-driven, user-focused product development organization. You will be involved in every stage of the product development life-cycle from identifying pain points, to conceiving and testing potential solutions, to coding and deploying those solutions.

Our engineering organization values empathy, collaboration, humility, quality (long-term maintainability), pragmatism, and shipping. We believe it's best to take small, iterative steps towards a goal when possible. We learn best by doing, not attempting to anticipate for every detail and edge case. So, we ship multiple times per week, while striving to improve our codebase over time.

We are a distributed team. We have an open office environment in downtown Denton, TX. While the dev team works remotely most of the time, regional candidates strongly preferred with the ability to travel to Denton at times.
