Position overview

The Salesforce Administrator is responsible for maintaining and building customizations of the Salesforce platform in support of 200 end users of Sales Cloud and Service Cloud. He/She will work extensively within Salesforce and connected applications -- including DemandTools, Conga Composer, DocuSign, and Salesforce CPQ.  He/She will partner with other departments to provide operational support for order processing and fulfillment, case management, and data maintenance, among other day-to-day business processes and one-time improvement initiatives.

 

Specific Roles and Responsibilities:  

  • Manage user profiles and permissions
  • Maintain existing and build new validation rules, workflows, processes, email templates, and other configurable attributes of the CRM implementation
  • Build custom reports & dashboards
  • Provide tier 1 support - Serve as first line of defense for all inbound questions or requests, including troubleshooting potential bugs and supporting end users' learning of the tool and processes
  • Support with data governance and data management per assigned rules and best practices to ensure the accuracy of the data in the CRM, including:
    • ETL processes to merge and migrate data from external sources into Salesforce
    • assignment of accounts & territories per management direction
    • set-up of new products
  • Identify opportunities to optimize processes through use of Salesforce
  • Evaluate new releases of Salesforce to determine functionality requirements and provide detailed information on how changes will apply to all affected users
  • Additional projects and responsibilities as needed

 

Qualifications: (e.g. Education, Certifications, Experience Level)

  • Salesforce certified administrator required; Advanced Administrator or other certifications are a plus
  • Experience with Salesforce Lightning is required
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, sales, marketing or a related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products is required, with significant emphasis on advanced Excel capabilities
  • Proficiency with SQL a plus
  • Must possess strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Desire to work in a highly collaborative, creative, and challenging environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries and/or complaints from external/internal customers in a professional manner
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work with maximum flexibility and independence
