Position overview

The Senior User Experience Architect is a leader who works with content experts, product engineers, and product managers to create a friendly and intuitive user experience architecture.  Starting with a solid understanding of the motivation and intent behind user behavior and workflows, the Senior User Experience Architect will lead the creation of wireframes, requirements, mockups, and prototypes to demonstrate interaction and design concepts and then work alongside product engineers to implement.

The Senior User Experience Architect will collaborate with product managers to continually pursue customer satisfaction with usability studies and testing to bring measurable improvements to the online user experience.

 Specific roles and responsibilities:

  • Creates user-focused experiences informed by market analysis, customer feedback and requirements, and user research analytics
  • Responsible for requirements documentation, functional specification documentation, wireframe prototyping, user flow documentation, and task flow analysis.
  • Creates deliverables including user stories, surveys, A/B usability test plans, wireframes and functional prototypes
  • Designs mock-ups and click-through prototypes as necessary
  • Validates and improves user experience via user testing, surveys and interview feedback


  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in design or other areas of study
  • 10+ years' experience in the User Experience field
  • 5+ years' experience in Education Technology or related field
  • Knowledgeable of industry best practices for web application design and usability
  • Creative problem solver who works well in cross-functional teams
  • Experience with SCRUM and Agile methodologies
  • Excellent usability and visual design skills
  • Diplomatic and capable of resolving disputes in a responsible manner
