Position overview:

The Associate, Content Marketing will contribute to our organic channel's growth with insightful, useful, and cutting-edge content to drive new sales and repeat customers.  In addition to technical skills, such as SEO and engagement analytics, s/he should have deep experience for creating all things content, inclusive of social posts, blogs, e-books, video, webinars, landing pages, microsites, and sales collateral, to name a few.  Both a strategic thinker and a strong executor, s/he should have a passion for the education industry, an understanding of how technology and education intersect to drive innovation; and aspirations for deep knowledge into specific segments of the industry, with laser focus on how our products are uniquely positioned to meet market demand, opportunities, and challenges. 

This role will work closely with the Senior Manager, Digital Marketing to help grow traffic and conversion via organic content; in addition to working closely with the Senior Manager of Product Engagement and Support to better understand how product features and enhancements align to segment needs, and to leverage customer feedback to build thoughtful engagement strategies through customer storytelling.

This individual will help Teaching Strategies achieve its business goals by driving year-round creation and delivery of content digital content, to drive engagement, build a community of advocates, and increase web traffic and sales. Ongoing social monitoring, tracking and interpreting engagement KPIs/metrics, and using results to identify new opportunities to improve content will be critical as well.

 Specific roles and responsibilities: 

  • Content creation inclusive of blog posts, social posts, email/landing pages, video/webinar scripting, infographics, sales collateral, and more.
  • Content distribution across organic digital channels
  • Drives organic traffic to company blog and website
  • Improves SEO authority ranking for specific keywords
  • Assists in finding and recruiting subject matter expert and thought leaders in the field to serve as content contributors
  • Ensures content meets brand standards and editorial guidelines
  • Helps to manage content and campaign calendar
  • Helps to build a dynamic and productive sales funnel, leveraging content to move from prospect to buyer
  • Researches competition, current customers, and industry trends to develop compelling content strategies

Qualifications:

  • BA or BS degree in marketing, communications, or a related field required
  • 3-5 years of experience in a Content Marketing role or proven experience using creativity, copywriting, and analytics to rapidly scale organic growth in key channels
  • Understanding of brand storytelling and ability to own the content development workflow: ideation, research, writing, and execution
  • Forward-thinking approach to identifying content and industry trends before anyone else
  • Strategic and analytical thinker with the ability to generate new ideas and processes to improve marketing campaign effectiveness and ROI
  • Basic understanding of SEO best practices
  • Excellent knowledge of digital marketing platforms and tools
  • Experience utilizing Salesforce CRM and Marketo marketing automation platforms a plus
  • Proficiency with digital design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or similar a plus
  • Familiarity with Wordpress a plus
  • Experience with content/web analytic platforms such as Google Analytics preferred
  • Experience with social media scheduling tools, such as Sprout Social preferred
  • Experience with webinar hosting platform, such as GoToWebinar preferred
  • Strong copywriting skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills
