Position Summary:

The Senior Recruiting Leader is an experienced HR professional who is responsible for building valuable relationships with internal clients and assists in transferring requests and solutions to and from each department. The Senior Recruiting Leader works with department managers to source top talent, interview candidates and assist in the hiring process. By maintaining positive relationships with managers, the Senior Recruiting Leader assists in identifying and preparing development plans for key employees and high potential employees, as well as identify when employees are ready for promotions. 


Specific Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Builds strong relationships with internal clients
  • Leads the company's end-to-end recruiting process by recruiting top talent for the organization using various methods such as job boards, social media, recruitment fairs, and local colleges and universities
  • Strategizes with hiring managers on the most effective recruiting channels for filling open positions
  • Assists managers with developing position descriptions and performs periodic audits in order to ensure proper leveling and classifications for jobs
  • Successfully recruits and on-boards top talent for the organization, conducting periodic check-ins with new hires and strategizes with managers on areas of improvement
  • Manages the process for internal position changes and promotions
  • Manages the company Applicant Tracking System and ensures data is accurate and in compliance with federal regulations
  • Negotiates contracts and manages relationships with headhunters and other external recruitment agencies, web-based job sites, and colleges/universities
  • Oversees the company's annual internship program by developing partnerships with local colleges and universities, developing program guidelines and programs, on-boarding interns, and strategizes with managers to ensure the program is efficient and effective
  • Completes the company's annual Affirmative Action Plan
  • Assist with HR projects for career progression of current Teaching Strategies employees
  • Other duties as assigned



  • Bachelor's degree preferred; Master's degree a plus
  • At least 7-10 years' experience with progressing HR related roles and responsibilities
  • 3-5 years of experience managing the full-life recruitment cycle and maintain ATS in accordance to OFCCP regulations
  • Knowledge of federal, state and DOL regulations and compliance
  • Broad understanding of HR principles and best practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to form partnerships with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to multitask and meet deliverables in a fast-paced and growing environment
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to demonstrate sound judgement on employment-related matters, with the ability to follow through on matters
  • The ability to make presentations to large and small groups
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Effective organizational skills
  • Ability to network externally and internally to source candidates
