Position Overview:

Teaching Strategies is looking for highly talented, detail-oriented test engineers to join our technology development team. We're looking for people that want to make a real impact in early childhood education. Our platform is a rapidly evolving system, so you need to be able to move quickly while still being thorough.

 

As a key member of our technology team you will be a champion for quality and always put the needs of the customer first. You'll work closely with developers, product owners, operations and other QA heroes to deliver meaningful updates every sprint. We need someone who has a knack for breaking stuff, knows a lot about QA and is ready to learn more.

 

Specific Roles and Responsibilities: 

  • Develops, expands and executes manual and automated test cases for product changes and regression testing
  • Finds, isolates, documents, and tracks bugs through resolution
  • Conducts performance testing to ensure system reliability, capacity and scalability
  • Verifies functionality via SQL queries and direct API calls
  • Deploys updated code to testing environments

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or relevant experience
  • Minimum of four (4) years of hands-on web testing experience
  • Experience with automated testing (Selenium / Cucumber is a plus)
  • Empathy, patience, rigor, grit and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely
  • Highly collaborative work style
  • Creativity and initiative to succeed on ambiguous problems
  • Experience with the following technologies a plus:
    • StormRunner
    • Ruby 
    • Postman
    • SaaS
    • Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
    • TestRail
    • Jenkins
  • Keen interest in new technologies and languages and how to innovate with them
  • Commitment to following security best practices
