Position overview:

 

The Event Marketing Coordinator supports the Event Marketing Manager with the planning and execution of a

variety of events-related activities that are integral in supporting Teaching Strategies' business goals, including: assisting with logistics for internal and external conferences/tradeshows, meetings, and special events, onsite lead generation and customer engagement. The event marketing coordinator will play an integral role in executing a robust events strategy that drives brand awareness in new segments, and brand loyalty in mature segments through onsite presence and relationship building

 

 

Specific roles and responsibilities: 

 

  • Supports the Event Marketing Manager in preparation for assigned events, from inception to day of execution to post event wrap-up and reporting, Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
    • Logistical coordination
    • Catering
    • Equipment
    • Invitations
    • All related correspondence
    • Prepare and process invoices, submit accounting requests, etc.
  • Assists with events communications and post-event engagement, including:
    • Email
    • Social media
    • Customized landing page/website messaging
    • Print
  • Collaborates with appropriate internal stakeholders to develop relevant event content/collateral, as needed
  • Establishes and maintains a positive, professional relationship with all internal stakeholders and external contacts/vendor partners through effective, accurate, timely and reliable communication and action via telephone, email and/or in person.
  • Implements sponsorship requests which may include email campaigns, program ads, social media, and website updates
  • Provides collateral needs for conferences to production management and creative services department
  • Develops surveys and post-event reports to take sales feedback for conferences and meetings
  • Reviews, processes, and tracks invoices for events team'coordinates budgets and projections
  • Searches venues and prospecting as needed for internal and external meetings and events
  • Implements onsite giveaway strategy and planning
  • Maintains and updates company events website
  • Performs additional duties as assigned

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • BA or BS degree required in marketing, communications, or a related field
  • 1-2 years of related work experience in marketing, event management/logistics, educational marketing, or combined experience/expertise in sales
  • Experience with event planning and support, special event planning support and execution, and tradeshow planning/logistics a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Motivated and customer-service oriented.
  • Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience in Marketo or similar marketing automation tools a plus
  • Flexibility to travel as required up to 20% and work overtime and weekends as needed
