Position Overview:

Teaching Strategies is a rapidly growing mid-size business with a significant emphasis on operational efficiency.  The business requires systems and processes that support and enable excellence in our customer facing roles and that drive high levels of internal scalability and efficiency.  We expect to continue to grow rapidly in current markets as well as in adjacent markets and as such require systems and processes that will support that growth and that provide the flexibility to be highly responsive to new requirements.

The Business Analyst is a new role within the Business Operations team.   The Business Analyst will be responsible for assisting the Director of Business Operations with the ongoing enhancement of our enterprise deployment of salesforce.com, which is utilized extensively to support multiple functions within the business.

Specific Roles and Responsibilities:  

  • Assists with the development and enhancement of the business systems and processes that currently support all Sales, Renewal, Professional Development Operations and Customer Support functions at Teaching Strategies, as well as Business Intelligence tools, adjacent systems and future expansion efforts
  • Partners with leaders and stakeholders across the organization to define requirements for continuous improvements to the salesforce.com environment and BI tools
  • Leads the requirements definition efforts for enhancement projects including both functional and technical requirements and including leading cross functional and collaborative discovery sessions that enable creation of highly effective system designs that ultimately improve our operational and BI capabilities.
  • Leads the QA efforts associated with all development work related to the salesforce.com environment and BI tools
  • Leads constituents and stakeholders through process analysis efforts leading to definition and implementation of process and workflow design that ultimately contributes to organizational effectiveness
  • Creates and maintains requirements and system documentation
  • Project management of enhancement efforts
  • Other duties as required, which may include system config, creation of reports, and user support

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, , or other related areas required
  • Minimum of 5 years working as a Business Analyst, preferably in a consulting capacity and with responsibility for requirements elicitation
  • Minimum of 3 years working as an Admin with Salesforce.com solutions (certification required)
  • Minimum of 2 years working directly with a BI tool
  • Experience with business applications commonly deployed as extensions of salesforce.com required, CPQ experience a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to apply process design, technical expertise, creativity and general business acumen to the development of highly effective systems and processes with demonstrable ROI
  • Proven ability to apply analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills to both system design and issue resolution
  • Must have proven the ability to thrive in a highly dynamic environment while maintaining a positive and customer focused attitude toward internal constituents
  • Must be self-driven with a demonstrated high level of work ethic and commitment to accuracy and quality
  • Superior organizational and project management capabilities are a must
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering results in a team-oriented, partnership oriented and collaborative work environment 
  • Excellent communication skills a must, including the ability to communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders 
  • Proven ability to achieve results through collaboration and influence 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel
