Position overview:

The DevOps Engineer is responsible for being an integral member of our Tech Dev department and will work closely with the development team in Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD) to support new application launches. The ideal candidate will bring forward innovative and creative ideas including information exchange, transfer and retrieval, security, interface, and system design in order to help us build and roll out technology solutions for our products.

Specific roles and responsibilities:  

  • Maintains releases and manages build and release processes and notification lists
  • Schedules releases on staging and production environment
  • Submits change control requests for releases
  • Coordinates production activities including the execution of the deployment plans and checklists
  • Supports and enhances build and release processes through automation using a combination of processes and existing tools
  • Collaborates with Development and Operations team on schedules and priorities and ensures deadlines are met
  • Collaborates with Development to resolve release and build dependencies to ensure timely release deployment
  • Provides timely status updates and assist product teams in making decisions about release status
  • Monitors and troubleshoots web application performance on a daily basis
  • Assists users with VPN setup and troubleshoot connection issues
  • Analyzes, troubleshoots, and mitigates network, server, and application security risks and vulnerabilities
  • Identifies methods to improve processes
  • Supports Technical operation team daily tasks through automating of routine tasks such as inventory management, monitoring and incident management 


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Minimum of three (3) years of build automation and release management experience in SaaS production environment
  • Prior coding experience using scripting language such as Python, Ruby and PowerShell
  • Understanding of automation tools like Chef or Puppet is preferred
  • Experience with one or more continuous integration systems such as Jenkins or TeamCity
  • Experience working with rapid, overlapping product releases
  • Ability to understand and actively participate in SCRUM Agile methodology
  • Prior experience of working in Windows and Linux environment
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent debugging and testing skills, and likes to quickly learn new technologies
  • Ability to function independently and with little guidance
  • Strong sense of collaboration, teamwork, and accountability
