Position overview:

Teaching Strategies is committed to providing professional development experiences that are intuitive, directly relevant to the classroom, and that motivate the continuous growth of teachers, caregivers, and administrators who support the learning and development of children from birth through third grade. The central responsibility of the Professional Development Content Associate is to produce, revise, edit, and build a wide range of print and digital instructional materials that are responsive to teachers' learning needs and implementation experiences and reflect the philosophy and voice of Teaching Strategies.

 

Specific roles and responsibilities:

 

• Composes and edits content for online, hybrid, and in-person professional development
• Collaborates with trainers, customers, professional development staff, and content writers to develop course content related to Teaching Strategies' assessment and curricular solutions
• Builds eLearning courses using Articulate Storyline 2 / Articulate 360
• Collaborates with LMS and multimedia developers to produce project-specific deliverables within set timelines
• Works with the Professional Development Content Manager to ensure quality training practices that are aligned with the professional development goals and standards of major accounts 
• Writes customized sessions to target customer needs

 

Qualifications:

 

• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in early childhood education, journalism, or related field; Master's degree preferred
• Superior writing, editing, researching, and analytical skills

• Understanding of adult learning principles and quality learning processes 
• Teaching experience in a preschool, Head Start program, or elementary school preferred

• Strong knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice
• Working knowledge of Teaching Strategies, LLC, products is highly desired

• Proficiency in MS Word and PowerPoint is required
• Ability to learn new technology applications
